Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Part-Time Location: Cheshire, CT Compensation: $21 - $27/hour Hours: ~10 hours per week Schedule: roughly between the hours of 3pm-8pm MTuF, 5pm-8pm W, 4pm-8pm Thurs, or open availability on Sat/Sun Position Overview Arc Light Behavioral Health Collective (www.arclightbhc.com) is a small BCBA-owned company seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in Waterbury, CT. This role involves working one-on-one with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans, and supporting skill development under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Essential Functions Implement individualized ABA treatment plans for children and adolescents in a home setting under the guidance of a BCBA Support behavior management strategies, ensuring consistency and adherence to treatment plans Supervise community outings and run objectives in real- world settings Assist in creating client materials to support intervention goals Provide parent training and collaborate with families to reinforce learning and progress Maintain accurate data collection and timely documentation of clinical services Work with clients who have a history of aggression and elopement (though rarely engage in it) and demonstrate confidence in managing challenging behaviors Maintain a reliable and consistent schedule with families to ensure effective therapy implementation Follow BACB ethical guidelines and company policies Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Active RBT certification (preferred) Minimum one year of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or related fields Strong time management skills and ability to manage a caseload efficiently Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of organization, attention to detail, and professionalism Passion for helping children and adolescents reach their full potential Ability to work independently in-home with minimal supervision Competencies Accuracy – Consistently records and calculates data correctly Customer Service – Provides quality service, responds to feedback, and meets commitments Organization – Maintains effective time management and use of resources Learning Orientation – Demonstrates willingness to grow professionally and stay up to date on ABA best practices Flexibility – Adapts to changing client needs and schedules Ethical Conduct – Upholds company and BACB ethical standards Problem Solving – Uses critical thinking to address client needs effectively Collaboration – Works well with families, supervisors, and other team members Communication – Clearly communicates with clients, families, and colleagues Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a client home environment – employees must be comfortable working in various home settings Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs, bend, stoop, reach, and move comfortably in client homes Employment Terms Position with a flexible schedule based on client needs Employment is at-will, and responsibilities may change as needed Job Type: Part-time Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour - we believe in pay transparency Expected hours: 10 per week Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: After school Day shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person To protect our clients and their families, this position requires a background check.
