Summary The function of this position is to provide, under the supervision of a qualified licensed professional counselor with supervisory designation (LPCC-S) or licensed independent social worker with supervisory designation (LISW-S), quality clinical care to clients within the candidate’s internship/practicum experiences and in adherence with Ohio Mental Health licensing standards. Assess clients on admission with respect to behavioral health needs, and on a continuing basis, review, update and execute that assessment. Establish and review goals for each client. Value highest ethical standards, quality clinical care, and good customer service. Quality communication skills in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and often multi-agency environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities supervised by an appropriately licensed practitioner include: Informs clients of limits to confidentiality, rights regarding services delivered, and payment expectations. Performs diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and counseling services within the supervised scope of practice in collaboration with clients and under supervision of clinical supervisor. Coordinates interventions with a multidisciplinary treatment team. May provide emergency consultation and crisis assessment intervention. Maintains efficient and timely clinical documentation within GESMV Behavioral Health guidelines. Integrates services and/or makes referrals to appropriate professionals or outside agencies as indicated. Participates in the assessment of program needs and peer review, as well as cooperates with performance improvement and Key Process Indicator (KPI) as defined. Performs community outreach, information and referral, and education assignments, as well as consultation services as approved by supervisor. Complies with confidentiality and protected health information rules. Attends staff meetings, in-services, case conferences, supervision sessions, etc. as scheduled. Competency demonstrated in the prerequisite duties for clinical practice as documented through peer review. Performs other related duties as assigned including support activities as needed to augment the functioning of the agency. Meets with clinical supervisor for one (1) hour for every twenty (20) hours worked. Other duties may be assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Must be enrolled in an accredited master’s level counseling program with a valid CT license or enrolled in an accredited master’s level social work program with a valid SWT license. Candidate must have an active counselor trainee (CT) or Excellent clinical skills. Must possess the ability to evaluate the behavioral health needs of clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to use an electronic health record (CareLogic). Qualifications Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.
