We enhance the quality of life by creatively providing Education, Advocacy, Prevention, Early Intervention and Treatment Services. We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges. The Behavioral Health Office manager has primary responsibility for clerical duties involved with coordinating client care at the site. These duties include greeting clients/visitors, answering phones, managing collections and insurance verifications, directing visitors/clients to the appropriate areas and performing routine clerical duties. It is also the responsibility of this position to model and maintain high professional conduct and standards. As a Behavioral Health Office Manager with us, you will: Answer telephones in a timely manner and direct all calls or messages to the appropriate department or person. Complete reminder calls or correspondences for clients. File and maintain all administrative documentation needed to stay in compliance with DE state and federal regulations. Obtain client demographics, identification, authorizations and verifying insurance information at each visit. Obtain necessary client information to meet current Federal guidelines and insurance use guidelines for electronic medical records. Enter and scan pertinent client information into EMR including client authorizations, recent labs delivered etc. Schedule follow-up appointments and inputting recall notices into EMR as needed Identify and resolve minor client billing issues Request medical charts from hospitals and other medical centers. Obtain information sheet on new clients and prepares charts at intake, including initiating new charts or retrieving existing charts and signing intake documents. Collections of payments, maintaining a list of self-pay clients and managing payments Insurance verification on a daily basis Collaborate with medical staff and clinical staff on day-to-day operations related to client care Check and address client alerts as clients come in for services Perform other related duties as assigned by Program Manager Qualifications for this position are: REQUIRED: High School Graduate or GED PREFERRED: associate degree REQUIRED: 1 year in office environment, 3 years related experience, some knowledge of substance use disorders. PREFERRED: Bilingual with fluency in reading/writing in Spanish. Requirements Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM Pay: From $18/hour Commensurate with experience and education!
