Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Clinical Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting. Behavioral Health Nurse will assist providers with patient care and follow-up, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. Duties include, but not limited to interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients and assisting providers with patient exams and/or treatment, continuing responsibility including charting and clerical work as necessary; oversee phone prescriptions and refills to pharmacies. Additionally, this position will perform triage with patient phone calls to identify emergent and non-emergent situations. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing support to Providers during patient visits, including intake, vital signs, exams, and treatments Perform nursing triage for patient phone calls and identify emergent and non-emergent needs Administer injections and medications as ordered Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, and follow-up care Support patients through all phases of behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment Monitor treatment adherence, medication compliance, and relapse prevention needs Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record Collaborate with pharmacies regarding prescriptions and refills Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current, unencumbered State of Kansas LPN licensure. BLS for Healthcare Providers certification. Current vaccination record meeting ACIP Healthcare Workers Recommendations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Five (5) or more years of experience in a Family Practice or Behavioral Health setting. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
