Overview:
The Clinical Support Team (CST) Teammate plays a vital role in promoting the behavioral and emotional well-being of CFS youth in out-of-home placements. This position supports youth stability, permanency, and overall success by completing clinical reviews and facilitating interdisciplinary clinical staffing’s. The Teammate utilizes data, functional assessments, and clinical judgment to determine appropriate levels of care, develop titration plans, and recommend clinical services for youth with high acuity mental health and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Reviews:
  • Complete comprehensive reviews of youth in out-of-home care using the CAFAS.
  • Evaluate behavioral, emotional, and functional needs to determine the most appropriate, least restrictive level of care.
  • Screen for developmental needs of youth and recommend further assessment.
  • Review historical and current documentation and assess for clinical risks to support decision-making.
  • Complete reviews at initial placement, every 90 days, and as clinically indicated.
  • Clinical Staffing’s:
  • Lead and facilitate Clinical Staffing’s involving interdisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Collaboratively identify strengths, barriers, and actionable steps to promote youth well-being.
  • Support a solution-focused environment that optimizes resource utilization and planning.
  • Collaborate with case professional to establish unanimous goals to support youth needs.
  • Documentation and Communication:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for each review and staffing session.
  • Clearly communicate clinical recommendations and rationale.
  • Timely and ethical use of documentation systems including NFOCUS and assessment portals.
  • Maintains clinical professionalism and objectivity by managing personal biases and transference to ensure ethical, equitable, and youth-centered care.

Requirements/ Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Behavioral Health Practitioner I: Provisional license to practice as a mental health practitioner in Nebraska.
Behavioral Health Practitioner II: Nebraska License as Mental Health Practitioner.
Behavioral Health Practitioner III: Nebraska license as Mental Health Practitioner or Nebraska license as Alcohol and Drug Counselor. AND Nebraska Provisional License as Mental Health Practitioner or Nebraska Provisional License as Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Behavioral Health Practitioner IV: State of Nebraska licenses as Mental Health Practitioner and Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Legal Requirements: Licensure requirements for all levels pursuant to Nebraska State Statutes 38-2122, 38-2124, and 38-316.
Hiring Rate: Pay commensurate with licensure.
PLMHP: $26.547, LMHP $31.143, LMHP/PLADC: $33.478, LMHP/LACD or LIMHP: $35.989*
Position Location: Position available statewide, contingent upon available office space.
