Description Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh, a place to learn, a place to grow and a place to belong. For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. Through amazing programs, caring staff, and a safe atmosphere, we give youth a place to go when they need support, care and most importantly, fun. We give youth a place to call home. BGCLC is currently seeking an energetic, fun-loving, adaptable individual to provide social, emotional, and behavioral support for children and families to promote success in the Club, school, home, and community. Job Roles and Responsibilities: Performs in accordance with evidence-based clinical framework; achieves high standards of care and application of clinical policies and procedures for all clients and Club members. Integrate a social and emotional lens to provide impactful individual and group therapy, case management, consultation, crisis intervention, grief support, and referral work. Work collaboratively with Club staff, public school district employees, and other public entities who support the child and connect the family to all appropriate care. Provide care appropriate to the age of the clients served within the clinic setting. Effectively manage a caseload and clinical documentation. Adhere to an evidence-based practice framework to manage and encourage progress for Club Members. Establish a therapeutic alliance and engage the client(s) in collaborative goal setting and prioritize client needs. Facilitate youth group sessions on topics including but not limited to anxiety, depression & suicide, LGBTQ, healthy relationships, grief, substance use, domestic violence, gang-related conflict, general stress, and bullying. Provide families and youth with necessary community resources. Work within the client system to establish a treatment alliance and engage in goal setting. Travel to Club sites to work with Club Members and staff. Must adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics, mandatory reporting requirements, and comply with all BGCLC policies and procedures. Complete all other duties as assigned This is a full time (30-40 hours per week), non-exempt, hourly position.The pay for this position is $28.20/hour. Requirements General Function and Description: The Social Worker (MSW) provides therapeutic and behavioral support for children and families to promote success in the Club, school, home, and community. The Social Worker (MSW) will be an active member of the local Club staff team and serve as a trauma-informed and collaborative leader. Education and Work Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited college or university. Minimum of 2 years work experience in behavior intervention, youth development, and/or small group facilitation, preferred. Minimum Qualifications Requirements: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships with BGCLC staff, Board Members, volunteers, community groups, and other related agencies. Proficient user of MS Office, Google Suite, and other databases. Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Supervisory Expectations: May provide supervision for BSW/MSW, Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology or a related field student-interns Independence of Action Work is closely monitored by supervisor/manager; detailed instructions and procedures are generally provided.
