We are seeking candidates interested in a leadership role to support, inspire and grow a dynamic team of behavioral health professionals providing exceptional clinical care to youth and families within school settings. Clinical Leads are responsible for overseeing administrative and clinical supervision for all behavioral health staff within their assigned team. Our teams are comprised of licensed and unlicensed behavioral health clinicians, behavioral support specialists who offer skills training within elementary school settings, and certified drug & alcohol counselors who provide substance use treatment, brief intervention, and coordinate referrals when appropriate. Our behavioral health providers are embedded in school-based health centers throughout the Rogue Valley, spanning elementary, middle and high school environments. In addition to supervisory tasks, the Clinical Lead role also engages in program development and project-based work in partnership with the behavioral health leadership team, with the goal of continuously seeking improvements and innovations to enhance the quality of care we provide to students and families in the Rogue Valley.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

This role will support the “North Team”, serving Central Point School District sites and the Rogue River area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a primary role as mental health or behavioral health provider. Must be able to interact with a variety of individuals at various levels under stressful circumstances while exercising sound judgement, tact, and diplomacy; work productively both independently and in a team setting; communicate with clarity, both verbally and in writing to groups of all sizes and levels; possess the confidence and ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to workforce members, leadership, and the governing board.

Responsibilities

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

  • Provides clinical supervision for Behavioral Health Clinicians (BHCs) and Behavioral Health Support Specialists (BHSSs), which includes ensuring the supervision effectively meets requirements for licensure where indicated.
  • Manages staff schedules, including approving time off requests
  • Oversees professional development, coaching, and performance management for all behavioral health team members, including goal setting, adherence to professional and clinical standards, and performance evaluations.

RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION DUTIES:

  • Participates on interview committees to make hiring decisions within the assigned team in partnership with the BH Manager.
  • Implements onboarding and training support for new team members.
  • Partners with behavioral health staff to elicit feedback, address concerns, strengthen team relationships, support with personnel conflicts, and implement strategies to cultivate a healthy team environment based on respect, mutual investment, and shared vision

OPERATIONAL DUTIES:

  • Partners with the Behavioral Health Manager in developing content for monthly staff meetings, facilitating team-based activities to maintain morale and reduce impacts of vicarious trauma, and seek educational opportunities
  • Provides training and education on workflow efficiency and documentation standards as developed by the BH Manager.

QUALITY AND COMPLIANCE DUTIES:

  • Supports chart audit review process for both the BHC and BHSS roles.
  • Holds co-signing/clinical oversight for documentation in EMR
  • Oversees and directs referral management at each assigned school site through effective utilization of EMR-based referral work queue
