Description PrimeCare Medical is currently looking for a Behavioral Health Supervisor to work in the medical department at the Lehigh County Prison located in Allentown, PA. Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW or LCSW) to qualify. This a Full-Time 40-hour position, working Monday - Friday, during normal business hours (8:00am - 4:30pm). Job Responsibilities: The Behavioral Health Supervisor is responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordination and implementation of the behavioral health program in accordance with NCCHC/ACA/MCCS standards. Other responsibilities include: Engage inmates/patients in therapeutic interventions with the goal of stabilizing mental health and substance abuse related concerns. Actively facilitate the implementation of the institution's suicide prevention policy. Assist in the detection and prevention of inmate/patient suicide. Assess and document treatment responses of inmates/patients. Assist in the coordination of the admission and placement of inmates/patients to forensic and community behavioral health facilities. Initiate required paperwork for the inmates/patient's entry. Serve as the behavioral health liaison between the medical unit and facility staff. Facilitate/participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and/or case consultations with staff across disciplines. Aduit charts of psychiatric/psychological clinical services provided. Ensure complete, accurate and timely entries are made for each inmate/patient contact. Provide case consultation and supervision to Behavioral Health Professionals and Behavioral Health Staff. Maintain documentation of this. Responsible for the implementation of corrective feedback and the progressive disciplinary process for Behavioral Health Professionals and Behavioral Health Staff. Serve as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and various committees within the medical unit and facility as necessary. Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in-service calendar. Must hold a Master’s degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with a concentration in clinical course work, training and/or experience. Minimum of two years of experience.
