Full-Time, on-site Benefits Medical Dental Optical HSA/FSA Dependent Care 401K 4% Match PTO Paid Holidays Rewards Program     Position Summary   The Behavioral Health/Support Specialist is responsible for conducting mental health assessments, implementing treatment plans, and coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team. This role requires strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.    Essential Duties and Responsibilities  The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:  Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and document findings accurately.  Collaborate with the pain management team and facilitate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed.  Document assessment results in Excel and upload them to patient charts.  Manage and report patient safety concerns, including crisis situations, to ensure timely intervention.  Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.  Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, ensuring empathetic and clear interactions.  Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.  Perform additional duties and projects related to Behavioral Health as assigned.    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)  High School Diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.  Experience in mental health assessment and intervention, with knowledge of healthcare regulations.  Strong communication skills and cultural competence.  Ability to manage stress and crisis situations effectively.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other documentation software.  Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA confidentiality and preventive measures to ensure patient safety.  Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and exhibit comprehensive job knowledge.  Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.  Manual dexterity and the ability to operate essential office equipment.  Empathy and the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with patient information.  Capable of making timely, independent decisions, particularly in high-pressure situations.  Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.  Willingness to travel as needed.    Physical Demands and Work Environment   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
