Summary As a Behavioral Health Technician, you are the heartbeat of our inpatient program. You provide the daily structure, safety, and support necessary for our clients to navigate the early stages of recovery. This role requires a unique balance of firm boundary-setting and genuine empathy. Key Responsibilities Safety & Surveillance: Conduct regular facility walkthroughs and room checks to ensure a secure, drug-free environment. Clinical Documentation: Observe and record client behaviors in electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and objectivity. Case Support: Facilitate seamless admissions, discharges, and orientations for new residents. Crisis Management: Provide immediate de-escalation and crisis intervention using approved therapeutic techniques. Logistics & Support: Escort clients to off-site appointments; administer supervised toxicology screenings. QualificationsCore Competencies Professional Boundaries: Maintain a healthy, therapeutic rapport with clients while strictly adhering to ethical boundaries. Empathetic Accountability: Enforce program rules and protocols with consistency and patience. Peer Support Promotion: Encourage self-help concepts and peer-to-peer problem-solving. Discretion: Handle sensitive client information with absolute confidentiality (HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2). Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Certification: Valid California RADT, or open to getting certified within 90 days upon hire. Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least 5 years.
