Full Time Position:  F/S/S 8a-8p and Rotating  4p - 12:30a About the Role: The Behavioral Health Technician plays a critical role in supporting the mental health and well-being of patients within the Warrior offsite PHP setting. This position involves direct patient care, assisting with clinical assessments, and implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed clinicians. The technician is responsible for monitoring patient behavior, managing crises effectively, and ensuring a safe therapeutic environment. Accurate clinical documentation and maintaining up-to-date discharge plans are essential to facilitate continuity of care and support multidisciplinary team communication. Ultimately, this role contributes to improving patient outcomes by providing compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health support in a structured outpatient program. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred. * Experience working in a behavioral health or mental health care setting, preferably with children or adolescents. * Basic knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis management, and clinical documentation standards. * Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and clinical staff. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician or equivalent credential. * Experience working specifically with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) populations. * Training in crisis intervention techniques such as CPI or equivalent. * Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in behavioral health settings. * Additional coursework or certification in mental health, psychology, or social work. Responsibilities: * Provide direct care and support to patients with serious emotional disturbances (SED) in an outpatient partial hospitalization program (PHP) setting. * Assist clinicians with conducting clinical assessments and monitoring patient progress throughout treatment. * Implement crisis intervention techniques and manage behavioral emergencies to ensure patient and staff safety. * Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and discharge plans. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans. * Support patients in developing coping skills and engaging in therapeutic activities as part of their recovery process. * Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies related to patient care and documentation. Skills: The required skills such as clinical documentation and maintaining accurate records are essential for ensuring continuity of care and legal compliance. Crisis management and crisis intervention skills are applied daily to de-escalate situations and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Clinical assessments and mental health knowledge enable the technician to assist clinicians in evaluating patient needs and progress effectively. Developing and updating discharge plans requires collaboration and attention to detail to support successful patient transitions. Overall, these skills combine to provide comprehensive patient care, promote recovery, and support the multidisciplinary treatment team in delivering high-quality behavioral health services.
