Position Overview Department: Behavioral Health - Adult Psych - Acute Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:45pm-11:15pm Work Location: UAB St Vincent's East - Trussville Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more This is a dual role with responsibilities spanning both a Unit Assistant and Behavioral Health Technician. What You Will Do Provide direct behavioral health patient care. Assist patients with performing activities of daily living. Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions. Observe and record patient behavior and activities. Report any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan. Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred. Certified Nurse Aide preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
