Position Overview Department: Geri Psych Schedule: Multiple Shifts Full Time Days PRN Rotating Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do Provide direct behavioral health patient care. Assist patients with performing activities of daily living. Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions. Observe and record patient behavior and activities. Report any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan. Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. Certified Nurse Aide preferred. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative relevant experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Responsibilities
The role involves providing direct behavioral health patient care, including assisting patients with activities of daily living and participating in diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities also include observing and recording patient behavior, reporting condition changes, and suggesting treatment plan modifications.
