In addition to your base compensation, this position also offers: · Comprehensive Benefits: Multiple levels of medical, dental, and vision coverage  — tailored benefit options for part-time and PRN employees, and more. · Professional Development: Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities.   Position Summary: A Behavioral Health Technician, under the supervision of nursing staff, provides direct patient care and assists with maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. * Will assist in meeting the needs of behavioral health patients. * Maintain constant direct observation and visualization of identified patient(s). * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.    Education requirements: * Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent is required.  * Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.  Handle with Care within 45 of hire. * Behavioral Health experience preferred.   Required Skills:  * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.  * Assists patients with performing activities of daily living. * Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions. * Observes and records patient behavior and activities.  * Reports any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan. * Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.   More about Twin County Regional Healthcare   TCRH is a 141-bed acute care hospital that has been offering exceptional care to the Twin County community for over 52 years. Responsibilities
Under the supervision of nursing staff, the technician provides direct patient care and helps maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for behavioral health patients. This includes maintaining constant direct observation, assisting with daily living activities, and observing and recording patient behavior.
