UPMC Western Behavioral Health is looking for a Behavioral Health Therapist to add to our Adult DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) department. We are the only comprehensive DBT program in the region. We provide evidence based care to high risk individuals. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop high clinical competence or expertise in DBT!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required. (Successfully completed the educational requirements as defined in practicing state’s code)

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Completes same-day clinical documentation and provides info for service authorization.
  • Reviews cases and serious patient changes with supervisor and clinical staff.
  • Assesses and updates treatment plans based on changing patient needs.
  • Conducts supervised assessments and applies treatment models in service delivery.
  • Provides individual and group therapy; engages families and educates on recovery.
  • Documents all clinical activities per guidelines.
  • Coordinates with clinical team on service needs and referrals to appropriate care.
  • Attends treatment team meetings to review cases and update plans.
  • Maintains daily records of clinical productivity.
  • Develops comprehensive treatment plans addressing diverse patient needs.
