UPMC’s Pittsburgh AIDS Center for Treatment (PACT) Clinic is looking for a licensed Casual Behavioral Health Therapist II to join the team! PACT, part of the UPMC Center for Care of Infectious Diseases and a Ryan White Center for Excellence, is comprised of a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals with expertise in HIV. The center provides complete care to more than 1,500 persons 18+ years of age living with HIV.
This is a Casual position working a 5 hour shift on Fridays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
Two years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.
Experience working with patients with HIV and SUD preferred

Responsibilities
  • Maintains daily records of clinical productivity.
  • Provides individual and group therapy to patients in home, school, and community settings; engages families in assessment and treatment.
  • Educates patients on recovery.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings to discuss cases, update treatment plans, monitor progress, and recommend referrals.
  • Utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Conducts assessments of new patients and documents clinical decisions.
  • Creates comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Participates in regulatory and licensure preparation.
  • Manages administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Documents all patient-related activities according to guidelines.
  • Continuously improves clinical skills.
  • Reviews cases and serious patient condition changes with supervisors.
  • Completes clinical documentation on the same day and provides necessary information for service authorization.
  • Mentors student interns.
  • Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Assesses and incorporates changing patient needs into treatment plans.
  • Discusses additional service needs with the clinical team and makes referrals as needed.
