UPMC’s Center for Children and Families (CCF) is looking for a Behavioral Health Therapist II to join the team! CCF is an outpatient clinic that offers a unique team approach to treating patients. CCF has have 3 resident programs which are part of this team, and we work closely with the doctors to treat our patients. Since we are in the city, we service a diverse population of 7 to 25-year-olds and their families. Our family therapy clinic offers training to therapists through live supervision. Responsibilities: · Independently conduct comprehensive 2-part CABS assessments with patients and families. · Deliver evidence-based treatment (individual, family and group therapy) for children, adolescents and young adults with mood and comorbid conditions and their families. · Document all assessments, treatment sessions, contacts, case management and other work done on behalf of patients according to guidelines. Complete clinical documentation in a timely way and provide clinical information to patient access representative personnel and insurance providers to ensure authorization for services. · Participate in regular treatment team meetings to discuss clinical cases, review and update patient treatment plans, monitor therapeutic progress and initiate recommendations for referral and continuing care. Refer patients to other levels of care, or other community social or human services as needed. · Participate in the quality assurance and performance improvement activities of the program. · Under guidance of leadership via weekly individual supervision meetings with Director, provide training, support and ongoing clinical and administrative supervision for master’s level therapists conducting assessments and treatment in the clinic. · Participate in system-wide training and education initiatives outside of the scope of normal clinical responsibilities. Collaborate with leadership to complete annual program training needs assessment per guidelines. · Independently demonstrate competency in management of administrative responsibilities associated with patient care. · Take a leadership role in assessing staff learning needs and scheduling and providing staff training to the treatment team. · Actively contribute to the regulatory and licensure preparation activities on an ongoing basis with program leadership. · Lead psychosocial program development and implementation to meet patients’ and families’ needs, as guided by scientific evidence. · Ensure collaboration between CABS clinical and research staff to support CABS research studies; attend regular research recruitment meetings with study coordinators to ensure clear communication. · Coordinate and oversee CABS Youth Advisory Board meetings and projects. · Work closely with CABS and WPH administration to ensure compliance with all system, state and federal regulations. These include electronic medical records, treatment plans and billing. Ensure clear and timely communication and implementation of all system-wide procedural updates/changes. · Attend all CABS meetings including twice weekly leadership meeting, weekly treatment team meeting and monthly administrative meetings. · Attend all WPH clinical leadership meetings as indicated by WPH administration. · Provide training, support and ongoing clinical and administrative supervision for trainees rotating through CABS aiming to build skills in differential diagnosis and/or treatment. · Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required. · Four years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required. · Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required. · Demonstrated leadership experience preferred. ATTENTION: A COPY OF YOUR MASTER LEVEL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION.
