Description
Description Behavioral Healthcare Advisors (BHAs) are regional treatment placement specialists and clinical outreach professionals. They serve as trusted resources for families and referring professionals navigating complex behavioral healthcare decisions. In this role, you will provide consultative guidance, support ethical placement decisions, and coordinate care from the first inquiry through admission, while building long-term professional relationships within your assigned region. This role prioritizes clinical appropriateness, responsiveness, and continuity of care—not commission-based sales or quota-driven outreach. BHAs are not admissions decision-makers and do not sell beds. They advise, guide, and coordinate in close collaboration with Altior’s clinical and admissions leadership. Key Responsibilities: · Build, maintain, and deepen trusted relationships with therapists, hospitals, schools, educational consultants, and community providers within a defined geographic territory or referral ecosystem. · Serve as a primary point of contact for families, clinicians, hospitals, and community professionals seeking behavioral health treatment. · Act as a liaison between families, referral sources, and treatment teams during the pre-admission and admission process. · Educate families and referral partners on levels of care, treatment pathways, and realistic timelines. · Maintain timely, consistent follow-up from first call through admission decision. · Develop and execute quarterly and annual objectives focused on responsiveness, relationship strength, and placement appropriateness. · Document outreach, referral activity, and case follow-up accurately in CRM systems. · Represent Altior at facility tours, professional events, conferences, and community meetings. · Participate in regional and national meetings, trainings, and leadership field activities. · Ensure all guidance and placement recommendations align with clinical best practices and Altior’s treatment philosophy. · Other duties as assigned. Benefits: · Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, and vision · 401k with 4% match · Paid Time Off Programs including vacation, holidays, and illness · Continuing Education Assistance About Altior Healthcare: Our family of services comprises three distinct mental health treatment programs, including a specialized program for US Veterans. With over 15 unique locations, we manage and support 500 dedicated employees serving over 300 residential clients daily located across five states: California, Idaho, Maine, New Hampshire, and Texas. As part of the Altior network, you’ll find the stability of an established organization with the heart of a close-knit treatment community where every role matters. Altior Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetics or any other basis forbidden under federal, state, or local law. Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, healthcare, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience in behavioral healthcare admissions, placement, outreach, or care coordination. · Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, healthcare outreach, admissions, or related roles. · Characterized as a person who operates with honesty, integrity, and compassion. · Confident communicator; excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. · Self-motivated and results driven; capable of working independently as well as part of a team. · Strong professional presence; ability to influence and connect across a variety of teams and levels of leadership. · Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and comfort with quickly learning new systems. · Ability to reside within and regularly travel throughout the assigned territory. · Prior experience in regional outreach or territory-based roles.
