QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATES:

  • Minimum 60 college credits
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Experience working with learners with autism or special needs preferred
  • Experience providing physical support to learners preferred
Responsibilities
  • Assisting with managing problem behavior
  • Implementation of skill acquisition programs
  • Material preparation
  • Assisting with self-care routines (e.g., using the restroom, changing after gym)
  • Engaging with learners while they are accessing reinforcers (e.g., playing basketball)
  • Assisting with community outings (e.g., ordering food at fast food restaurants)
  • Other activities as assigned
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient with educational technology (e.g. tablets, computers)
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and needs
