Behavioral Support - Team Lead
The Action Group is currently seeking Shift Lead - Complex Needs Support Specialists (CNSS) who will be required to support individuals with complex behavioural needs within a secure community residential setting. Our Enhanced Housing Program facility in Ponoka provides specialized housing to 16 individuals with complex service needs who have a range of cognitive, behavioural, emotional, physical and mental health support requirements.
Shift Lead - CNSS Provides training/guidance to a team of CNSS and up to 16 individuals. Provides direction to ensure safety, the consistent implementation of support plans, and provides structure for the shift ensuring all daily tasks are completed.
Skills: organized, team-oriented, professional, written/verbal communication skills, crisis management.
Evening shift. Weekends required. Rotation to be discussed at interview.
Shift Lead - CNSS ensure team facilitates community engagement while working directly with each individual and, in consultation with the service team, help identify potential risks, initiate action to manage risks through consistent implementation of each Behavioural Support Plan (BSP) using a collaborative approach to monitor the effectiveness of individualized strategies and client well-being.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary degree in Human Services or relevant Post-Secondary Diploma combined with specialized training or enhanced knowledge related to mental health and dual diagnoses preferred
  • Minimum two to five years supervisory experience
  • Two to five years of experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural challenges
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Clean criminal record check
