Barrantes & Associates Inc., and Barrantes Group Living Inc. are seeking a Behaviour Associate devoted to helping clients achieve their goals in our Barrantes Group Living homes for the following lines:

EDUCATION:

  • Associate I & II completion of recognized degree or diploma program or a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the social service sector.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate I: 1 to 3 years in the social service sector.
  • Associate II: 3+ years in the social service sector.
  • Additional training in behaviour management and modification is considered an asset.
  • Safe Management Group training considered an asset.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain rapport with clients in Barrantes Group Living homes as required.
  • Assist with and advocate for clients’ needs.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Create a supportive and collaborative environment in order to maximize clients’ potential.
  • Provide urgent response for clients in crisis.
  • Complete clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members as needed.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in ongoing professional development through company workshops and/or external learning opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
