Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Science or equivalent.
  • Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario qualifications or ability to obtain RBA (Ont.) is an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience working with the ASD population and preferred experience in development and implementation of ABA evidence-based programming.
  • Demonstrated experience of using best practice in supporting service users.
  • Direct experience working with children, youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other diagnoses.
  • Annual completion of a Criminal Background Check/Declaration, including Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
  • First Aid CPR Level C.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or Safe Management training.
  • A valid driver’s license and insurance, access to a reliable vehicle and ability to drive in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Applied Behavioural Analysis -based services and supports to eligible children/youth with ASD ages 0-17.
  • Perform assessments and baseline measurements.
  • Create behaviour programs in the areas of Social Skills, Behaviour/Emotion, Daily Living and Communication to meet the needs of parent goals.
  • Provide consultation in parent training, feedback, corrective feedback and support.·
  • Facilitate groups of 3-10 children or adolescents with ASD.
  • Provide weekly service to clients for low to moderate intensity and duration of service.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure the progress of the child/youth.
  • Receive guidance from the Clinical Supervisor and provide guidance to the team of Behaviour Technicians and Instructor Therapists
