We are looking for a behaviour Interventionist to work 2 days a week in a home-based ABA/ESDM program, managed by a BCBA from Constructive Pathways. It would be an asset if you have education and/or experience in ABA or a related field (e.g. Education, Psychology, ECE, Linguistics, etc.). However, those seeking to gain experience and develop a career working with children and teens with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An individual who is energetic, patient, and dependable.
  • Open to learning and have a positive attitude.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience working with children and/or teens.
  • Able to commit for at least 1 year.
  • Prior training in ABA is an asset.
  • Candidates should be at least 19 years of age.
  • Have a clear criminal record or willing to undergo one.
  • Able to provide at least 2 professional references.
  • Wage is between $20-25 depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behaviour intervention plans and provide direct support to individuals with ASD.
  • Collect data on target behaviors and analyze data to monitor progress and make adjustments to intervention strategies with support from junior behaviour consultant/behaviour consultant.
  • Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans.
  • Maintain consistent communication and provide support when needed to staff, caregivers, and family members on behavior management techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all interventions and progress notes.
