Job Description Ability Action Australia's Dandenong team are looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners of all experience and suitability levels in Dandenong or Mornington Peninsula. Whether you are just starting your Behaviour Support career or have suitability levels Core, Proficient or Advanced, we want to hear from you! In this role you will: Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will have: Proven experience supporting people with disabilities within the NDIS, including complex and challenging behaviours Qualifications as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or relevant disability sector experience, supported by a Degree or Diploma Strong report writing, time management, and organisational skills A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent people skills and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs What's in it for you?
