Description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Therapists to join our team in providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental needs. This position is in-home and community-based, focusing on helping clients develop communication, social, daily living, and behavioral skills. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work directly with clients under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor/BCBA, implementing individualized treatment plans that empower families and promote independence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with or teaching children with special needs.
  • Education in one of the following (or currently enrolled):
  • Behavioural Science Technology Diploma
  • Autism and Behavioural Science Certificate
  • Child and Youth Work (CYW) Diploma
  • Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow treatment protocols consistently.
  • Comfortable working in both home and community settings.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in clients’ homes and community settings.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and teaching programs under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor/BCBA.
  • Collect and record accurate data on client progress during each session.
  • Support clients in developing communication, social, play, and self-help skills.
  • Assist in promoting independence and generalization of skills across environments.
  • Manage challenging behaviors using approved ABA strategies and interventions.
  • Maintain professionalism and positive rapport with clients, families, and team members.
  • Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions.
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for the client at all times.
