Scope of Position: The bellperson position is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to our guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. The Bellperson role supports the operation by acting as an additional set of hands to support where needed in the moment.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Approaches all encounters with guest and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. * Supports the operation in any way needed, including: escorting guests to rooms, assisting with luggage, providing guests with knowledge of local area attractions, activities, and directions.  * Answering phone calls and assisting guests accordingly.  * Assist with cleanliness and appearance of all public spaces including lobby, hallways, elevators & lobby restrooms.  * Ensure bell cart is clean, well-maintained, and positioned in the lobby ready for use. * Acting as lobby ambassador greeting guests and ensuring overall satisfaction. Notifying management of any dissatisfaction.  * Assist with general front desk responsibilities such as a check-in or check-out procedure.  * Perform other duties as requested by management. * Attend meetings/training as required by management. Requirements: Experience: Customer Service experience preferred, but not required. Skills: Must display a friendly & warm disposition. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly & accurately. Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.  Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.  Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.  Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests; must communicate clearly. Physical Demands:  * Rotating schedules including nights and weekends. * Light work exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. * Ability to be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
Responsibilities
The Bellperson is responsible for providing attentive and courteous service to guests, including assisting with luggage and escorting them to rooms. They also support general hotel operations by maintaining public spaces and assisting with front desk procedures.
