Seeking an enthusiastic Bell Person with previous experience in a service setting. The Bell Person at the Elora Mill acts as a host for the property. The Bell Person assists guests with their luggage, provides directions, and acts as an ambassador for the hotel and the town of Elora. The ideal bell person has exceptional guest service skills and loves the idea of making a lasting impression. They play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable stay.
This role is full-time permanent - not a seasonal (summer) role

Responsibilities
  • Provide gracious, attentive, and friendly service.
  • Act as gate person monitoring incoming guests, confirming hotel arrivals to front desk, and directing hotel guests where to park.
  • Greet arriving guests, retrieve their luggage and transfer from car to room (check in) or room to car (check out).
  • Provide valet car park assistance, responsibly and respectfully transferring vehicle to the assigned parking space
  • Offer guests an escort to their rooms, explain the room facilities.
  • Provide guests with hotel facility information as well as general information about the area.
  • Be fully aware of what functions are going on in the hotel and associated VIP guests.
  • Take pride in ensuring the cleanliness of the lobby area clean, orderly, and sanitized.
  • Have an eye for detail, keeping outdoor grounds including parking lot, turning circle and gardens, clean and free from garbage
  • Seasonally assist with lighting wood burning fires in guest rooms as well as outdoor gas fireplaces.
  • Take responsibility for running errands offsite; being responsible for handling cash and receipts
  • Other duties as required.
