Principle Purpose of Job: Responsible for setting the standard of expectations of the customers and guests for the duration of their stay as they are the first person to meet and greet them.
Organizational Structure: The Bellman is responsible for working with the entire hotel to establish customer satisfaction.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Meet and greet all customers and guests in a friendly and professional manner at all times
- Strive to exceed customer expectations by providing exceptional customer service
- Provide extensive knowledge of both Saskatoon and surrounding areas attractions to all customers and guests
- Protect privacy of guests, ensuring names and room numbers are secure
- Secure customer and guest’s valuables, utilizing safety deposit boxes
- Offer to assist with luggage upon arrival and departure
Operations
- Accommodate storage, delivery, and retrieval of luggage, ensuring each piece of luggage is clearly tagged with owners name and room number
- Handle luggage care safely, returning carts to front lobby
- Stationed at front doors, when not performing other duties
- Maintain immaculate appearance of lobby at all times
- Deliveries: flowers, items for guests, luggage, faxes, etc.
- Log all items in and out, requested by customers and guests, following correct procedures
- Bellman to come completely prepared for each shift (i.e. pen, and paper), as to record a ‘to do’ list from pages accepted from pager, following correct procedures
- Drive shuttle van as required.
