Responsibilities

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED BENCH JOINER OR CABINET MAKER LOOKING FOR A ROLE IN A HIGH QUALITY JOINERY PRODUCTION?

We are a firm that specialises in the production of high quality, bespoke architectural joinery.
We produce substantial numbers of solid timber period doors, linings and mouldings.
This role would suit those who wish to avoid working with excessive sheet material and focus mainly on solid timber joinery construction.
The doors are constructed from a variety of hardwoods using traditional mortice and tenon joints.
Other items we typically produce are glazed doors and screens with traditional, scribed glazing bars.
Our products may also include curved elements such as arch headed fanlights that require a fair degree of skill in setting out.
The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate productivity whilst maintaining a consistent benchmark of quality.
Any additional cabinet making skills are welcome and may be applied to our various other lines of work.
We would expect the candidate to have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar environment. Opportunities for those who meet the grade for Team Leader/ Senior Maker are also available.
Ruralcraft Furniture (part of Atkey and Company Limited) are an architectural joinery business specialising in supplying high quality period mouldings and doors.
We have been operating since 2009 and have established a strong reputation in our market for providing beautifully made, historically appropriate joinery detailing to the top-end of the property market. Our customers include architects, interior designers, contractors as well as property owners, with a significant proportion based in London. They value our architectural and aesthetic knowledge, design skills and extensive archive of historical joinery designs. Our products are used primarily high-end residential projects and in commercial developments such as hotels.
