Description We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. As a Bench Welder - 1st Shift, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Responsibilities not limited to: Perform welding and soldering tasks to join metal components Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings Use basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape metal pieces Operate various tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and calipers Assemble and weld components according to specifications Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment Requirements Skills - To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills: Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding Knowledge of ductwork fabrication and installation Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements Familiarity with operating press brake machines is a plus Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Ability to use calipers for precise measurements Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication process -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At VMC Group we believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally.
