Overview:
Alera Group is looking for a Benefits Analyst. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Support report build, maintenance, and lifecycle, including contribution modeling, R&M, and RFP documents.
  • Maintain benchmark reporting and assist with planning to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Analyst and Client teams, leveraging knowledge of benefits design, cost, and funding structures.
  • Manage New Business Sheet and update Dynamics 365 CRM data.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as census work, plan audits, and document reviews.
  • Provide compliance support including annual notices, 5500 data collection, and compensation disclosures.
  • Assist with vendor implementation and handle ad-hoc projects or reporting for client and firm initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship or work experience should show increasing complexity, autonomy, and client service skills.
  • Preferred coursework includes healthcare, HR, health economics, risk management, business, marketing, finance, or advanced math.
  • Must obtain State Life and Health license within 90 days of hire.
  • Requires remote work setup with uninterrupted focus (equipment provided).
  • Strong client-facing, analytical, and self-management capabilities expected.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

This job is fully remote.

Salary range is $60K to 75K per year.
