JOB OVERVIEW:

The Retirement Benefits Analyst provides research and analytical support to the Manager, Retirement Plans. Responsible for supporting Darden’s retirement programs including the retiree medical Plan; utilizing reporting tools to ensure regulatory deadlines are met and guidelines are adhered to. The Retirement Analyst will work closely with Payroll teams, ERISA counsel, retirement plan providers and others to ensure items, such as compliance, nondiscrimination testing, audits, plan data, plan contributions and distributions are being handled correctly and timely.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3+ years retirement experience
• Retirement Plan certification (CRP, CEBS, RPA, etc.) preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION:-

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to interpret all retirement and benefit Plan documents.
• Excellent project management skills, detail oriented and highly organized.
• Expert ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple and competing priorities.
• Advanced MS Excel, MS Word, and Power Point skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills while maintaining confidentiality. Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization.
• Understanding of retirement plan fiduciary oversight requirements and best practices preferred.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft a plus.

• Supports team members and other internal colleagues by assisting with escalated issues; develops solutions and recommends appropriate actions for all retirement plans.
• Collaborates with internal partners (in accounting, treasury, audit, etc.) and plan providers to oversee compliance (internal and external) and identify and implement control updates and process improvements.
• Coordinates and reviews annual nondiscrimination testing, as well as mid-year tests.
• Tracks annual company contributions, including projections for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
• Monitor plan reporting and reconciliations. Makes updates and troubleshoots issues as needed.
• Project manages all data requests and reconciliations from external vendor for the annual plan valuation for pension and retiree medical.
• Project manages annual plan audits and SSAE16 reporting.
• Coordinates necessary regulatory plan filings for DOL, IRS, etc. (such as Form 5500).
• Serves as the backup coordinator for plan committee meetings; responsibilities include scheduling meetings, coordinating attendees, preparing agendas and pre-read materials.
• Provide financial analysis and forecasting in support of business objectives
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.
