JOB SUMMARY:

Take the lead role in managing all aspects of benefits administration of the SAI colleague benefit program including health, dental, vision, COBRA, Flexible Spending Accounts, life, disability, and other voluntary benefits across the US. Responsibilities will include resolving inquiries related to benefit eligibility and enrollment, addressing questions from all colleagues, with a focus on prompt and accurate problem resolution. Additionally, play a pivotal role in managing relationships with benefit vendors, overseeing file feeds, troubleshooting errors, maintaining colleague records, administration of billing and payment records, colleague eligibility tracking, proposing strategic plan or vendor changes to the management team, implement new carriers, and assist with ensuring we stay current on any or all compliance updates.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Be able to problem solve, maintain confidentiality, be adaptable to keep track of competing priorities, join in on team collaboration as well as work as a self-starter to complete projects as assigned.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and inter-personal skills; organizational skills, including ability to: prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and enforce deadlines, maintain flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals and to take initiative; must have reasoning and problem-solving skills, excellent computer skills and have ability to maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to handle stress especially when encountering necessary projects, deadlines and/or high workload.
  • Strong character traits required including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity, and honesty.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in related subject such as Human Resources, Business, or equivalent combination of training and experience.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

  • Minimum six years administrative experience
  • HR certification strongly preferred (e.g. SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR)
  • Previous experience with self-funded benefits plans strongly preferred.
  • Minimum two years benefits administration or HR generalist
  • Experience with web-based communication and enrollments
  • Presentation, excel, and public speaking skills.
