Overview Under limited direction, the Benefits Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering the company benefit processes and objectives. May assist in developing procedures. Tasks may include but are not limited to, answering employee inquiries on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters, providing technical assistance, and maintaining benefits records, documents, and databases. This role will rely on knowledge of the standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within the field of U.S. Benefits to accomplish departmental and organizational goals. Communications delivered to the entire company are a significant responsibility of this role. Benefits & Time Off: As a full-time position, Company benefits are offered in compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), state and federal law, and Company policies. Compensation: this position will be paid on an hourly basis with a pay range between $17 - $19 depending on prior experience. This base pay is also subject to any authorized deductions to contribute toward the employee’s portion of benefits premiums and/or 401(k) contributions. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Preferred Skills: Two years of administrative experience in a Benefits or Human Resources related field One year of creation and delivery of employee communications Knowledge of benefit regulations (HIPAA, Section 125, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, QMSCO, USERRA, ACA, Federal and State Leave of Absence Regulations) Knowledge of SAP Payroll software and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
