LHH is seeking a BENEFITS COORDINATOR for a contract/temporary position in Houston, TX.
Position: BENEFITS COORDINATOR
Type: contract/temporary (approx. 4 months)
Location: HYBRID – Houston, TX (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) - 77056 zip code
Pay Range: $23-28/hr DOE
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Benefits Coordinator to manage and support employee benefits programs. This role will be responsible for administering health, dental, vision, retirement, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing exceptional service to employees. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience with HRIS systems and benefits platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

SKILLS

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, UKG, SAP)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations (COBRA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA)

EXPERIENCE

3–5 years of experience in benefits administration or HR coordination
Prior experience with open enrollment and vendor management preferred
Familiarity with payroll and leave tracking systems a plus
Pay Details: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour

Coordinate annual open enrollment and assist employees with benefit selections
Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS systems
Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and claims

Collaborate with brokers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure service quality
Reconcile monthly insurance invoices and process payments
