The successful candidate will advise employees on leave eligibility, benefit programs and claim procedures. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders (Management, Legal, HR Business Partners, Payroll, etc.) and external stakeholders (disability carrier) in accordance with local, state and federal laws JOB DUTIES:  * Serve as a resource to employees and managers on all aspects of FMLA leave, personal leave, STD/LTD and military leave * Provide accurate and timely consultation to employees prior to their leave of absence regarding leave policies, appropriate leave protections, use of paid time off, and short-term disability benefits * Provide total leave of absence claim management– from first notice and intake to closure. This would include but not limited to obtaining and completing required paperwork, determining eligibility for leave, designating leave, requesting medical certification as required, sending required notices and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use. * Coordinates the employee’s return to work among all parties on a need-to-know basis * Identifies, calculates, and communicates to LOA employees the benefit premiums that are due upon their return * Host benefit presentations/educational sessions and assist employees with benefit concerns * Provide exceptional customer service during the full leave cycle to ensure a positive and informed experience  * Proactively and continuously identify, implement process improvements.
