About the Role We are seeking a Benefits & Leave Operations Specialist (P2) to join our Total Rewards team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring a best-in-class employee experience across benefits operations and leave management—balancing compliance, timeliness, and care. Reporting to the Global Benefits Manager, this specialist will own key transactions including benefits processing, vendor invoicing, and global leave management. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, empathy, and a process mindset, and thrives in a high-volume, detail-sensitive environment. What you will do Execute employee benefits changes (QLEs, enrollments, time-off balance transfers, international leave) with accuracy and speed Administer global leave programs including calculations, documentation, compliance, and employee communication Reconcile vendor invoices and ensure timely payments in collaboration with Finance Conduct recurring audits to maintain benefits data integrity and regulatory compliance Serve as the first line of support for employee inquiries via ticketing systems with clarity and empathy Maintain and evolve standard operating procedures for benefits and leave processes Liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure a high-quality employee experience Identify and propose process improvements that enhance scalability and reduce manual work Must Haves 2–4 years experience in benefits administration or global leave management Proficiency in Workday and HR ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshworks) Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) Experience managing vendor invoicing and benefits/payroll reconciliation High attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communication skills, with ability to convey complex benefits topics clearly Ability to balance backend compliance with employee-facing empathy and support Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally across Finance, HRBPs, and vendors Nice to Have Experience with global leave programs or international benefits coordination Experience developing global time off and leave policy with a strong lens on compliance Exposure to scaling HR operations in a high-growth tech environment Familiarity with U.S. and international compliance standards related to benefits and leave Passion for identifying automation or AI tooling opportunities in HR processes #LI-LG1 At Abnormal AI, certain roles are eligible for a bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
