JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Benefit Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws, and providing exceptional support to our workforce. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyze data effectively while maintaining confidentiality.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as ADP, Ceridian, Lawson, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Paylocity, Kronos, Salesforce, and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of employment & labor law principles relevant to benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
  • Negotiation skills to manage contracts with external vendors effectively.
  • Ability to conduct employee evaluations and provide constructive feedback on benefits-related issues.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence policies such as FMLA.
  • Manage the benefits enrollment process and provide guidance during employee orientation.
  • Collaborate with HRIS systems such as Workday, Dayforce, Oracle HCM, and others for accurate data management and reporting.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant employment laws.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts with benefit providers and vendors.
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring accurate deductions for benefits.
  • Provide ongoing support for employee relations by addressing inquiries related to benefits administration.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance employee understanding of available benefits.
  • Maintain regulatory reporting requirements related to Medicare, workers’ compensation, and other applicable areas.
