Tetra Tech is currently seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our corporate Pasadena, CA office. By joining our team, you have the opportunity to support a global workforce with 500+ offices worldwide and create value for our internal customers through benefits services such as enrollment support, annual enrollment, and claims assistance. We value client service, excellence, and are looking for an individual that can work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The pay scale for this position is $28-$30 an hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Your Role:

  • Medical plan administration support
  • Regional Medical Plan and Life and Disability Plan administration
  • Health care ordinance reporting
  • Annual enrollment administrative support
  • Assist with answering questions and resolving issues raised by HR staff and employees
  • Respond to court orders and eligibility verifications
  • Assist with reviewing benefits materials
  • Run various reports and validate data
  • Assist with Affordable Care Act reporting
  • Provide backup to Benefits Specialist Lead
  • Distribute department mail

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • Microsoft office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good math skills with experience applying them in Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including good grammar and spelling
  • Familiar with and respectful of dealing with highly confidential and private information
  • Familiar with and respectful of working in a corporate headquarters environment
  • Experience using Oracle a plus
  • Basic knowledge of employee benefits
