Trustpoint is excited to partner with an Am Law 200 law firm in their search for a Benefits Specialist on a direct hire basis. This hybrid position is based out of Roseland, NJ. The Benefits Specialist will play an important role in managing the firm’s benefits and leave programs while supporting broader HR initiatives. Successful candidates will have 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on benefits and leave management. Prior experience in a law firm is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily administration of employee benefit plans and leave of absence requests
  • Process new enrollments, terminations, and benefit changes; reconcile carrier invoices monthly
  • Partner with payroll to ensure deductions and adjustments are accurate and timely
  • Assist in the planning and execution of annual open enrollment, including employee communications, system updates, and audits
  • Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and serve as a resource for employee questions
  • Coordinate with brokers, carriers, and other vendors on benefits issues and updates
  • Maintain and update benefits procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, state leave programs)
  • Provide reporting, tracking, and analysis to support HR operations
  • Contribute to wellness programming and firm-wide HR initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on benefits and leave management
  • Strong understanding of employee benefit programs, leave administration, and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Dayforce (or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with data, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines
  • Strong communication and client service skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
