Job Purpose
The Benefits Specialist – Retirement Plans position will be responsible for financial and reporting functions of the defined contribution plan, defined benefit plan, Health Savings Account, and non-qualified plan(s). The position requires a variety of routine analytical, accounting, research and reporting functions in accordance with standard procedures. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact and ensures compliant operation of the U.S. retirement programs

Job Description

  • Collaborate with internal/external sources to support the day-to-day administration of TechnipFMC’s retirement plans, including Defined Contribution Plan, Defined Benefit Plans, Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plan, and the Health Savings Account.
  • Responsible for reconciliation and submission of bi-weekly payroll files for the Health Saving Account, 401(k) and Non-Qualified retirement plan funding.
  • Assist in the administration of retirement plan enrollments, terminations, status changes, contribution and loan changes, and transmittal of data in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor employee indicative data between various internal and external systems for accuracy and plan compliance. Ability to effectively resolve data issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage data interfaces and file feeds between ERP, payroll system, and outside vendors. Work with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that software systems meet retirement plan needs and make enhancements as needed.
  • Support data compilation for qualified plans’ IRS and ERISA mandated regulatory reporting requirements, including annual non-discrimination testing, plan audits, 5500s, summary annual reports (SARs), and various regulatory notices and required reporting.
  • Process and submit vendor invoices for payment; identify and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
  • Provide day-to-day retirement administration support for employees, former employees, management, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP), treasury, accounting, internal audit and financial reporting

You are meant for this job if:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience directly pertaining to retirement plan administration will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience directly related to retirement plan administration.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without restriction. For this position we are not sponsoring or taking over sponsorship of an employment visa.
  • Keen attention to detail required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experience using ERP systems is preferred but not required.
  • Strong focus on exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks without sacrificing quality of work.
  • Knowledge of various federal regulations governing retirement plans.
