THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking skilled CHPP Maintenance Technicians (Mechanical or Electrical) to join the CHPP Maintenance Team. The CHPP Maintenance Team is a multi-discipline team that is responsible for the maintenance and repair work within the Coal handling and Preparation Plant.
Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisors and broader CHPP team, the CHPP Maintenance Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe coal production and effective coal delivery.
Flexibility to move within the maintenance team and assist with the parts management process ensuring that key functions of parts logistics process are achieved as per site requirements to successfully execute maintenance.
This role requires you to work the A3 roster – Monday to Thursday – Tuesday to Friday 12 hour dayshifts.

You will be responsible for:

  • Execution of all scheduled and routine maintenance activities across all fixed plant areas
  • Execution of breakdowns and unplanned maintenance activities across all fixed plant areas
  • Upholding the completion of work to a high-quality standard
  • Inspection and monitoring of coal processing machinery and equipment
  • Reporting and raising subsequent job requests
  • Updating and closing off completed work orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP
  • Participate in CHPP improvement processes as required.
  • Complying with Bengalla’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times
