Description The Service Lube Technician is responsible for performing basic vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements. This role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the quick service lane and contributes to maintaining customer satisfaction. The Service Lube Technician provides essential vehicle services that maintain the safety and performance of customer vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and filter replacements. Inspect vehicle systems and components, such as brakes, belts, and hoses, to identify potential issues or repairs and report to the service advisor. Maintain accurate service records by completing repair orders with information regarding services performed. Communicate with customers and service advisors to recommend further services or repairs if necessary. Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Keep the service area clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained. Stay current with dealership and manufacturer training to ensure up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures. Perform multi-point inspections. Maintain the cleanliness of the service shop area. Assist other technicians with more complex repairs as needed. Support the service team by helping maintain an organized parts inventory for quick service items. Participate in dealership training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills. Other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Automotive training or certification preferred. Associate Degree from Technical College preferred. Experience: Previous experience in a lube or quick service role preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair required. Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures. Effective communication skills with customers and team members. Requirements Must be 21 years or older. Must have a valid Texas Driver License. Must be able to pass a drug screening. Must be able to pass a background check. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and reaching. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and exposure to noise and chemicals.
