Description Our Parts Manager will be responsible for directing and assisting in the management of all Parts Department activities to meet sales, market share, profitability, asset management, and customer satisfaction goals while contributing to the overall growth of the dealership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Responsible for the sales, profitability, appearance, and overall operations of the Parts Department. Ensure there is consistent sales growth in retail and wholesale sales through sales calls and consistent follow-up from Parts Advisors. Maintain and control inventory accuracy and stocking levels ensuring minimal obsolescence by ensuring monthly returns are being processed as per manufacture return allowances. Ensure Policies and Procedures are in place and being followed to ensure the Parts Department is operating to company standards. Recruits, hires, and motivates qualified Parts Advisors and assists them in developing their skills through comprehensive training. Maintain obsolescence under 5% of Inventory value. Ensure consistent retail and wholesale sales growth and maintain gross percentages on sales. Maintain department certification and meet incentive program requirements. Maintain receivables for parts purchases on current accounts. Ensure the parts department completes all quotes using the proper system in a timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS Effective oral and written communication skills. Bilingual preferred Computer skills (business system – i.e. Reynolds & Reynolds Advance Service) Microsoft Office- Word, Excel Experience in automotive OE or aftermarket parts/service experience preferred Ability to support and empower others to take responsibility for their roles and encourage progress towards achieving their highest potential Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma 3 years or more experienced working in an Automotive parts department PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities and interaction with managers and employees. Prolonged periods of sitting. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times. Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs. Occasional attendance at social gatherings. Ability to travel occasionally.
