Job Description
At RollsRoyce Powersystems we develop and build Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Additionally, we offer Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA). In order to ensure the highest availability possible, we analyze operational data and predict on future scenarios. For this work we need a Data Analyst to develop and improve our Dashboards for our Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM). Therefore, this role is part of our Service Team for BESS.

Tasks – What to expect from us:

  • Support our Equipment Health Monitoring Team to create Dashboards for different type of users on our Cloud platform.
  • Analyzing in-field battery energy storage systems.
  • Calculating and comparing health and performance KPIs between in-field systems.
  • In case of on-site problems, perform data analysis and troubleshoot the problems in collaboration with the service team and with engineers.
  • Create detailed reports describing the issues, root causes, and suggested remedies.
  • Cooperate with our suppliers and their technical teams.

Qualifications – Who we are looking for:

  • Background in electrical engineering and system control and automation.
  • Very good knowledge of battery energy storage systems and new technologies such as microgrids.
  • Ideally, previous experience in the battery energy storage system industry.
  • Very good knowledge of data analysis tools (mainly python) and their different libraries. (Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn and visualization libraries such as Matplotlib, Plotly). Experience in Apache PySpark is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and German both written and spoken.
  • You are able to work independently and have a problem-solving mindset.
