Job Details Job Location: Des Moines - DES MOINES, IA 50313 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $27.50 - $29.30 Hourly Job Shift: Day Job Summary To provide excellent service as it relates to the delivery, storage, and merchandising of products in assigned accounts. Maintains responsibility for safe truck operation and the return of all money, unsold product, empties, and pallets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Report to work by designed time with, and have readily available, all required licenses, commercial driver license, and U.S. Department of Transportation Medical Examiner’s Certificate. 2. Make all deliveries according to the established route sequence. 3. Upon each delivery: (1) ensure the product being delivered and that which is already in the account is properly rotated within the cooler, displays, and backroom; (2) face and fill all Company products; (3) ensure all new items are placed on the appropriate shelf/position within the cooler; (4) build, merchandise, and sign displays as directed by the account’s salesperson. 4. Be aware of code dates and pick up all close-dated or out-of-date product as directed by the account’s Salesperson. 5. For every delivery, return to the warehouse all empty pallets from the current and/or previous orders. Safely handle all empties, pallets, and unsold product to prevent damage. Remove, properly store, and document all returned product and empties. At last stop, separate and organize all product and empties returned. 6. Collect and verify monies for payment and secure those monies in safe on truck, if available. 7. Ensure all delivery invoices are signed, either physically or electronically, by self and customer representative. 8. Follow KEG 1 Iowa, LLC procedure for all price discrepancies on delivery invoice. No invoice may be altered by a Driver. 9. Follow the end of day check in process as it relates to product and pallet returns and the reconciliation process with invoices and monies collected. 10. Responsible for safeguarding Company products, monies, and equipment. Loss of product, money, or equipment is the responsibility of the Driver and reimbursement to the Company will be required if such losses occur. 11. Count cases, kegs, and non-beer items out and in each day with the warehouse personnel making sure both counts are accurate and complete. 12. On all scanned orders, verify the product to the invoice as cases are removed from the pallet. 13. After completion of scheduled delivery duties, contact Route Supervisor for possible additional assignments. After all duties are completed leave the facility and grounds. 14. Communicate with Sales department regarding special needs by account, as well as cut orders and any unexpected issues with the delivery. Notify appropriate Sales department personnel of any refused order prior to leaving the account. Should a Driver be unable to make a scheduled delivery to a retail account, he/she must communicate the reason immediately to the account's Sales Representative and the Delivery Supervisor. 15. Communicate all new competitive activity in accounts on assigned route. 16. Attend all safety and delivery meetings. 17. Perform a pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection on assigned truck in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations and established Company guidelines. Operate vehicle in a safe manner following applicable laws and Department of Transportation regulations. 18. Obey all traffic laws when operating a Company vehicle. 19. Park truck so as to not interfere with the retailer’s customers and, where possible, position truck as to not be required to back up. Park vehicle for maximum visibility from the street. 20. Always have a “spotter” when backing or maneuvering truck in tight spots either on Company location or retail location. 21. Ensure truck is properly loaded and provided load restraints are utilized at all times to prevent damage to the product. 22. Report all needed truck repairs and ensure truck is properly serviced. 23. Remove all trash, shrink-wrap, and other debris from truck at the end of each day. Ensure truck cab is clean and organized at all times. 24. Responsible for ensuring all time worked is properly and accurately recorded utilizing the appropriate, designated modes of timekeeping. 25. Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company. 26. Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures outlined in the KEG 1 Iowa, LLC Employee Handbook. 27. Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations. Qualifications Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
