YOUR MISSION (The Job Description) The Beverage Manager is responsible for the daily operations of beverage outlets, such as bars and lounges, within a casino, resort, or restaurant. This position involves a mix of strategic planning, financial oversight, team leadership, and guest service to ensure a world-class, profitable beverage program. Qualifications THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties) * Operational leadership: Manage all day-to-day beverage operations, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and presentation. * Team management: Interview, hire, train, schedule, and supervise beverage staff, including bartenders, servers, and barbacks. This includes coaching and providing feedback to ensure peak performance. * Financial management: Monitor and manage the fiscal budget for beverage operations. This includes controlling costs, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and developing strategies to maximize profitability. * Menu development: Curate beverage programs, including extensive wine lists, beer selections, and craft cocktail menus that align with the brand and customer preferences. * Guest experience: Ensure exceptional customer service by setting standards and addressing guest complaints. The manager must be able to interact professionally and politely with guests, even in a fast-paced environment. * Compliance and safety: Maintain knowledge of and strictly enforce all state and local liquor regulations, particularly those concerning minors and intoxicated persons. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety standards. * Strategic planning: Provide input on the research and development of new beverage products, services, and technology.
