Job Details Job Location: Loleta, CA Position Type: Per Diem Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: Undisclosed Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service Description Tribal Preference will be given in accordance with BRBRR Act Relating to Employment POSITION SUMMARY: Provides drink and food service as well as customer service to guests on the casino floor, including the poker room and ballroom. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Takes drink and food orders and completes money transactions. Must carry a drink tray at all times. Keeps Cocktail station serving area clean. Assists bartenders with dishes and breaks. Does specific daily/weekly cleaning duties. Performs other duties as deemed necessary. Provides excellent customer service. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned. AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED, preferred. Serving experience, preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must provide or obtain a Food Handlers certification upon hire and maintain during employment. Must provide or obtain the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and maintain during employment. COMPUTER OPERATIONS Basic personal computer skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.). Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
