QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) as minimum, Certificate/Diploma or higher Preferred
  • 2 - 5 Years Experience in the Food Industry
  • Level of Expected supervision: some independent working

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Prepares samples for standard demos, carries out tests to set specifications and standards. Assists the Technologists in product development, testing, pilot plant and upscaling. Prepares samples and is responsible for the sourcing of raw materials in-house in preparation for product development, testing, pilot plant and upscaling. An internal facing role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support RD&A activities in the laboratory or pilot plant this may include; preparing samples, carrying out pilot plant/lab trials following agreed procedures & recipes, carrying out routine analysis, functional & sensory evaluation, sample dispatch to customer / manufacturing site
  • Agree priorities with line manager, keep and manage retained samples of all products made and dispatched to customers,Preparation of products for internal tastings
  • Maintain the R&D raw materials ensuring they are fully stocked with appropriate traceability
  • Maintain relevant R&D documentation.
  • Limited travel off site may be required
