Position Summary The Senior Director, High Cost Claimant BFO (Business Finance Officer) will serve as the strategic finance partner to the High Cost Claimant and Stop Loss business, overseeing performance management and integrating financial planning results into actionability. This role is pivotal in enhancing understanding of emerging experience and decision-making across the high cost claim and Stop Loss portfolio. This individual will report directly to VP, Cigna Healthcare Business Finance Officer, with dotted line responsibilities to High Cost Claimant Business Leadership. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic finance leadership across the High-Cost Claimant and Stop Loss portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise financial goals. Architect and maintain a comprehensive view of high-cost claimant financial results and future outlook, identifying trends and emerging risks. Lead performance management processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, to drive actionable insights. Integrate financial planning outputs into business decision-making, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure financial strategies are executed effectively. Collaborate with Pricing, Underwriting, and Finance and to develop and refine financial models that support growth and profitability. Act as a strategic advisor to business leadership, by providing proactive insights and recommendations to optimize portfolio performance and manage risk. Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and analytics capabilities, leveraging automation and advanced tools. Serve as a key liaison between finance and business leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on financial priorities. Qualifications Strong financial and/or actuarial background with a minimum of 10+ years of business experience in the healthcare industry. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent relevant professional experience. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior leadership. Proven track record in process transformation. Deep understanding of Stop Loss or related risk-bearing products. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
